Many people who are dealing with anxiety and fear about what
is happening, and people are trying to figure out what to do about Covid-19.
Our provincial government, our universities, colleges, businesses, and local churches are taking steps to mitigate/minimize the virus’ affects on our communities.
This is a rapidly changing situation, but we’ve been doing our best to keep an eye on unfolding events to see how we can best respond to the situation, and to keep our congregation and community safe.
Our church leadership team (aka Pastors' Council) has decided
to cancel all church-related group events until further notice.
This includes Sunday worship times, midweek groups, and our Friday night ESL.
Of course this does not mean that the Church will stop being the Church.
With the wide range of technology available to us we can continue loving and serving our community and our world in various ways:
1) Call a neighbour/friend to check on them, and pray together.
2) Read the Bible with your family, or join an online Bible study with friends.
3) Take time each day to sing along with great worship videos.
You can read the Bible online here, and even download an app to take the Bible with you wherever you are.
NB’s chief medical officer has recommended that we all take steps to prevent the spread of illness/infection, and practice adequate "social distancing", so we have made this decision to help keep everyone safe. Again, this is a changing situation and we may extend the cancellation if necessary, in an effort to work together with other community leaders to keep people safe and to prevent the rapid spread of any illness/infection.
