local impact

God loves the city of Fredericton!

Through partnership with local businesses & community groups, Evangel is making a difference in the neighbourhood commonly known as the "North Side".

Hosting community groups that need a place to meet, involvement in our local schools, and feeding hungry students are just some of the ways Evangel is making an impact in our city.

global focus

There is a fundamental, life-transforming truth that we cannot miss as Christ followers: We were created to impact all nations for the glory of Christ. The testimony of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation is that we were created to enjoy God’s grace in relationship to Him, so that we may extend His glory to the ends of the earth. Matthew 28:19 commands and commissions us to “go and make disciples of all nations…”

Our goal is to be a faith family of world-impacting disciples who are partnering with our brothers and sisters here and around the world to produce ever-multiplying churches all around our city, this country, and to the ends of the earth. Let’s embrace the radical purpose of God for our lives. Let’s wake up as God’s people to see His great glory and to see the nations’ great need. Let’s each spend our lives for the sake of God’s glory among all nations. You were created to impact the world for the glory of Christ.

Evangel plays an active role in spreading the Good News of Jesus in the countries of India, Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ukraine, and Nepal.

Trinity Theological College

Bokaro, India

In 2005, Rev. Dhruv Prasad and his wife Rita began the Trinity Theological College, Bokaro Steel City, India. The states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal are often overlooked due to their socio-economic backwardness and other problems such as political instability, illiteracy and poverty that plague these states. God placed a burden on Dhruv and Rita’s hearts to train workers who would go out and turn these areas into a vineyard for him.

Originally, the Bible school was only open to boys, and had four students begin in 2005, only one of which completed the program and graduated. The Trinity Theological College now educates young women along with these young men. Many more students have graduated since; thanks to your prayer as well as financial support.

As these young people dedicate their lives to work for the growth of His kingdom we are overjoyed to see their aspirations of working for the Lord as pastors and evangelists or even to continue receiving higher education and becoming teachers for the upcoming generations.

Pentecostal Bible College

Blantyre, Malawi

Pentecostal Bible College, is a vital part of Pentecostal Assemblies of Malawi (PAOM). The national church has grown rapidly in recent years and the need for trained pastors is increasing each year. Present Bible college facilities are filled beyond capacity. Often there are 30 men sleeping in one room with bunk beds so closely packed together there is little room to move.

Malawi’s population has reached 11 million but life expectancy has dropped to the mid 30’s due to the HIV/AIDS crisis. It is estimated that there are up to 900,000 orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Malawi faces a crisis with less and less time to reach its population.

With the need to train well-educated Malawians from the city as well as the uneducated pastors in remote, rural villages, we are in the process of developing a multilevelled program.

As resources become available a new facility will be built. It also will house the Village of Hope (VOH) orphan homes, the national office of PAOM, a secondary school, and a medical clinic.

This is Malawi’s day and PAOM must be ready to respond. The PAOC’s partnership is essential.

Institut Supérieur de Théologie Évangélique du Katanga

Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo

Institut Supérieur de Théologie Évangélique du Katanga (ISTHEK) was founded in October 2000 as an answer to the overwhelming need for theological training in the Katanga Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Congo is the third largest country in Africa with a population of more than 69 million people. Most of the population still don’t have access to running water, electricity or free education. Many families struggle just to make a living. Unemployment, poverty and street children are widespread and HIV/AIDS is pandemic.  In spite of these difficult conditions, however, evangelism and church planting are phenomenal.

Unfortunately, the lack of theological training among pastors has opened the way for many false doctrines and practices. It is in this context that ISTHEK is training a new generation of leaders and ministers that will both reach the lost and feed the flock with the Word of God.

These realities are what students at ISTHEK face day in and day out, and why they and their country need your help!

Nepal Theological College

Kathmandu,Nepal

Nepal Theological College (NTC) began as a short-term training centre in 1978, believing that God had called the institution to prepare and equip workers for the harvest field. Many students have graduated over the years and they are serving the Lord in Nepal and in other places.

The main objective of NTC is to train men and women of God who have responded to the call of God in their lives for the Christian service. NTC strongly believes in evangelism, discipleship and church planting, for which trained leaders are needed to carry the work of God forward. The institution is fully committed to give due place for the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. NTC would very much appreciate for your prayers and partnership with this ministry.
